SOUTHBOUND SH-121, TEXAS — The entrance ramp connecting the westbound SH-121/183 general purpose lanes to the TEXpress lanes at Hurstview Drive will be closed to traffic. The closure affects Southbound SH-121 (Airport Freeway) between Mile Markers 0294 and 0296, located east of FM-3029 in Tarrant County.
Traffic management crews have implemented a detour route to maintain mobility throughout the work zone. Vehicles attempting to access the managed lanes will be directed to remain on the standard general purpose lanes of SH-121/183.
The operation is restricted to nighttime hours only, scheduled to commence at 9:00 p.m. on November 2, 2026. TxDOT expects the nightly closures to conclude and normal traffic patterns to fully resume by 5:00 a.m. on November 6, 2026.
Truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the Mid-Cities corridor should anticipate localized congestion near the Hurstview Drive interchange and adjust schedules for overnight travel. We will update this report as TxDOT provides additional information.
