FM-1100, TEXAS — Hazardous icy road conditions have severely impacted traffic in both northbound and southbound directions on FM-1100. The affected corridor spans from 1.252 miles west of SH-95 to 0.104 miles north of US-290, covering mile markers 0560 through 0552. Travel along this stretch is strongly discouraged, and significant traffic delays are actively impacting the area.
Traffic management teams and roadway maintenance crews are actively directing vehicles to alternate routes. A formal detour has been established to divert motorists away from the hazardous roadway surface and minimize incident risks.
Due to the severity of the road conditions, operational impacts are expected to persist for an extended duration. TxDOT currently estimates the detour and delay status will remain active through August 25, 2027, at approximately 4:30 PM, pending updated infrastructure and safety reviews.
Motorists, dispatchers, and commercial carriers are advised to plan extra transit time and bypass FM-1100 entirely by utilizing designated detours. We will update this report as further information becomes available.
