SH-46, TEXAS — State Highway 46 West is completely shut down in both north and southbound directions following a roadway accident. The closure affects traffic between mile marker 0476 and mile marker 0474, stretching from roughly 5.5 miles west of Interstate 10 to 4.3 miles east of State Highway 16.
Emergency response and clearance personnel are on the scene working to clear the crash site and reopen the roadway. No official detour has been established, and heavy delays are impacting travel along the corridor.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the closure began at approximately 1:04 p.m. Crews anticipate clearing the scene and restoring normal traffic flow by around 3:30 p.m.
