LOOP 275, TEXAS — Severe icy conditions have forced significant traffic disruptions and closures on both eastbound and westbound Loop 275 (SL0275) in Travis County. The impacted corridor stretches from 2.46 miles north of William Cannon Drive to 1.267 miles north of William Cannon Drive around mile marker 0448. Due to hazardous road conditions, TxDOT has marked the incident at maximum severity and strongly discourages travel through the area.
Traffic management personnel have implemented active detours around the affected stretch to divert motorists away from the slick roadway. Crews are monitoring conditions and directing traffic, but significant delays are being reported for all approaching vehicles.
TxDOT logged the disruption beginning on November 6, 2026, at 11:13 a.m., with current system estimates listing a long-term clearance window through August 25, 2027, at 4:30 p.m. as conditions and ongoing roadway management dictate.
Commercial truck drivers and commuters are advised to alter travel plans, reduce speeds, and seek alternate bypass routes. We will update this report as soon as more details or updated clearance estimates become available.
