SOUTHBOUND I-35E, TEXAS — Alternating lanes are scheduled for closure along the southbound Interstate 35E frontage road near FM-1171, spanning from 0.22 miles north of the junction to 924 feet south around Mile Marker 452. Active detours are in place for the frontage road, while all main highway lanes remain open.
TxDOT crews will be conducting roadwork including pavement striping and tie-in operations to prepare for an upcoming traffic switch. Traffic control measures and detour signage will direct commercial and passenger vehicles around the alternating closures.
Work is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. on November 5, 2026, with an estimated completion time of 3:00 p.m. on November 6, 2026. These operations are restricted to daytime hours only.
