One person died Tuesday evening following a collision between a work van and a tractor-trailer on Turnpike Street.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. after the van caught fire during the crash. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.
Turnpike Road was closed from Foundry Street to the Raynham town line while emergency teams worked, and local police advised drivers to avoid the area. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Easton Police Department and Massachusetts State Police detectives.
